Hi, Everyone!

I was involved in an exciting Cambodian Comedy that is wrapping up post production. “The Wife Master” is a feature film about a gay Cambodian misogynist who has to marry a bunch of illegal immigrants for money. It's shot like a documentary and about half of the movie is in Khmer. Non actors, family, and friends in the Cambodian community performed in this film. We've used a lot of Cambodian rock music in the film too!

There is so much great Cambodian rock music, it was difficult to choose what to include in the film. My favorites are "Ride Cyclo" by Yol Aularong and just about all of Sinn Sisamouth's stuff. And of course Ros Sereysothea. So many oldies but goodies!

Yes, you're right - it's certainly not realistic to get married to more than one wife, it's illegal. In our film, we shot it like a documentary - many people after watching the movie thought it was real! That's the amazing thing about movies - it's all fantasy, and if you're enjoying the film and emotionally involved in the characters and story there's suspension of disbelief.
